家庭語言政策(Family Language Policy)

張教授曾與家長訪談,詢問家長是否有規劃讓孩子學習母語,多數為否定的答覆。過去在家中講母語是自然發展,但現今卻須刻意安排和規劃。母語永續保存或流失,取決於家長如何安排家庭語言政策,如能以母語為本,即可形成保存母語、學會雙語的「添加式雙語現象(additive bilingualism)」。
